Tanah Lot!

Well on the 3rd day, we did a road trip. an unplanned.. sooo unplanned road trip. why? all we wanted to do was to go to Ubud... and on the way we decided, let's go to tanah lot also... and if possible other places... so.. OKiesss tanah lot here we come..
on the way... we passed padi fields...
ok say me a city boy.. but if i'm from kampung also i'll be amaze by these sawah padi mahhh
u c the sawah padi got LAYEr 1 u know!!!!

u tell me where in malaysia got layer layer paddy fields??? only got box box type laa

then here we are reaching the entrance to the temple at tanah lot...

it's such a beautiful temple where it is located like a small island on its own...

well u can cross to the temple when the tide is low... when we were there the tide was damn bloody strong... easily can sweep anybody away.. unless ur super duper big fat size laaa

then wan to exit also... so hard to find.. it took a while to understand the word....
i thought it was "toilet exit" i was like.. since when are we in a toilet??? isn't it supposed to be like temple exit???? after tat i got it.. it's supposed to be toilet the same way as exit... cialat have to go thru toilet in order to exit.... lol
on the way home... encounter the same type of sign board. the roadsign said... " denpasar citycenter" so i thought it's denpasar to the left, and city center to the left after learning a lesson with toilet exit.. but c c... terbalik again... it meant denpasar citycenter.... bodoh 1 d sign board there. and i thought malaysian signboards are bad!!!
ahh.. not forgetting the doggies... we stopped at a wood craving area and found these to mischievous doggies... we spend 1/2 playing the dogs... instead of looking around.. i think we only look around less than 5 mins???? lol

Bali Bali?

Well lettme see... ever since i've gotten back from KL, Dubai looks SOOOOOOO BORRRINGG!!!!
Seriously... recently, i've found out that guyss are not allowed to go to the beach. if ur alone or with your group of guys... the answer is NO! why... apparently the reason given was for safety reasons... some group of indian guys recently disturbed some gals on the beach and reports was made and it comes to this... tsk..tsk..tsk... if want to go must go with a gal... IF go with GAL! how TO CUCI MATA????!!!! but nothing still beats the beach in bali... really CUCI MATA kau kau... better than cloROXX!!! well nearly bleed to death over there... the only mistake tat happen to me in bali was that everytime... i was around the beach, i don't have my camera... :( or everytime my nose to starts to bleed... i forgot about the camera... :( LOL

anyways as were approaching Bali, manage to get these few shots from the plane... i never knew an island like this could be so beautiful up in the sky...

Well using Air Asia... it kinda suck coz the food in the plane, we have to pay for it... what to do cheap flight... and the worst part was that we actually forgot to eat lunch... we only had McD for breakfast because also after i lost in a small betting game. Hah! the betting game... its to show how board we were waiting for the plane!!!! we bet to see which counter will be the counter for us to check in!
back to the plane story, 1 stupid small packet of nasi lemak COST US RM12!!! MCB!!!! and we thought it was an ok size we decided to share it... but then... it came in such small helping we decided to share it anyway!!! and we got ourself a bottle of mineral water... not just any mineral water but a FREE 100ML!!! ok!!! worth it.. paid RM5 for iT!!!!FOOD IN AIR ASIA!!!!!!!!!EXPENSIVE but ok taste! lol

Roads in Bali...

Well the roads in Bali is... pretty bad.. like malaysia roads 40 years ago... well my co driver didn't manage to get a shot with the motorcyclist. i guess she was paranoid as well after looking at the amount of motorcyclist around us. imagine there is 5 bikes infront of you, 3 to your left, 4 on your right, and 6 behind you... what would you do??? drive slowly? maintain speed?, move faster? or just stop? hahahhaa.. if u stop all of the will get off their bikes and whack you! slowly? they'll horn u!!! faster, u'll end up in jail for knocking down 5 bikes in front of you! maintain speed? yeah.. tat's wat i did and still getting some horns!!!

oh yeah speaking of which after getting to the hotel, it's makan TIME!!! well also another mistake of mine... too busy enjoying the food until i totally forgot to take pictures!! well these are the only pix of food available... :( due to my love of food... dammit... how i wish i had more pix!!
here we have Bintang BEER!!! it only cost us.. i think rm6? per glass??? then the food was like aweeeeeeeeesome!!! here we have sweet and sour pork endon style... which taste... fantastico...!!!! and also a nasi campur with gado gado... gado gado is like rojak like tat... endon style.

ok i guess it's enuff of posting for now... i'll leave you with a picture of a sunset i took in jimbaran...

Have you ever wonder??

Have you ever actually find yourself somehow end up being a fan without realizing it? a fan towards a singer. really... i didn't know myself until the band was leaving. it's like everytime she sings it's awesome, the power, passion and feelings whenever she sings. also not to forget with a beautiful voice. even though i can hear the music at home but watching her performance up front live it's different.
dang i'm becoming a hippie. hahahha. can't help it if she sings so much of 80's rock songs and perfectly done. another 6 more days before they leave... dang... have to do more recording to keep those memories. and lastly... everytime she sings rock songs, it's always to me... lol perasan...

DAM IT!!!!

ok... ok... there ain't no dam here so no such thing as water rationing, no water cuts, n no worries of water supply... but ma fu lat... its ONLY MAY!!!!!!!!it's not even JUNE YET!!!!!!!!!! okok why am i screaming...

Alab People again...

it really makes you wonder sometimes about these people ya know? not to say that i want to kutuk (insult) them alot. but... these alab people i tell you... okok... here i don't want to say much on these 2 pictures that i took... in dubai, deira area. it's not an old merc. look at it nicely and u'll know roughly which model it is.

no.3 who ever stole it has pretty much extra cash in his wallet compare to stealing other cars and without EFFORT!!!

a few months back our company had a lunch thingy because we finish casting the ground floor of the hotel area. so they give makan lar.... and ended up with egyptian food. remember the post i posted about the briyani rice??? this is a smaller version and i didn't had much appitite eating this also.. guess you'll know why...

note: these pictures were taken using my pda... tat's why not so clear.. :P

and to those friends who still wants to eat the nasi briyani here... msg me.. i'll try my best to bring it back to kl so tat u can have a taste of it...(taste of sand tat is... ahhahahhaa)

Today.... 24th April...2007.

The day is suppose to start up great... but it didn't really start that well... why? well i dream that my mum woke up from her passing... and i was happy at the moment that all the nightmare was gone. but waking up in the morning to realize it was just a dream. sigh...
anyways... so far so good... for now. thank you to all my friends who remember my b'day who made calls all the way from Malaysia and those who are here(dubai) appreciate it a lot as at times it can be really lonely here. my peng iew in KL, i'll b back soon and we can celebrate my b'day there k?? to those who are here... i still have no plans in my head yet... most prob i'll do something at home..k? it's a good day where i am a little older.. a friend left me a msg, and it goes something like this...."as you grow older, remember to grow handsome-r too! ;)" hmm.... am i not handsome enough?? hahahaha...
typical ah pek la me.... anyways.. will go back home and cook bah kut teh tonight!!! YEAH!!! super treat for myself.. ahhahaha

FRienDster Message...on DuBai

About 3 days ago, i've received a message from friendster with a new mail in my inbox.... who i wonder. hmmm... which gal want to msg me now... tengok tengok balak juga(apparently it's a guy.)sigh.... but that's not the point, the msg was to ask me about Dubai and working there.
Being a nice person i am, so i've replied to him explaining about Dubai and stuff... upon coming he was offered 12k a month. and he asked me if it's enough... 12k a month??? HELLO!!! but why not?
but told him... depending on his lifestyle he wants to live. well a person may earn 50k a month in Malaysia and still find it not enough. what is enough? i was thinking... what kind of lifestyle he want to live? buy a beamer, get a penthouse in dubai, party every weekend... ???well personally if given 12k to me, i'll rent a studio apartment not in dubai but in sharjah, the next state to dubai like kl and selangor like tat. which will cost me say rm1500 a month?then buy a new car , as long got wheels can already and pay installment of 1 k every month. what else? monthly expenses like food and petrol? 1.5k should be more than sufficient... so let me see total spend= 4k. saved 8k for a fresh grad... u tell me ok or not?the picture shows the yellow line is the straight path from sharjah to dubai. it's about 15km. so like i said from pj to kl.

Upon coming here and talking to another malaysian friend of mind makes me wonder really of Malaysian's mentality. same goes for me too... as i did the same mistake. why people never do their homework first before asking stupid questions to the people who are already here.
ok maybe he's a fresh graduate. but can u imagine a GM asking another GM who is already here is 50k a month sufficient? this is worst!!!!50k a month.. enough or not????
well wat to say....
currently, this month ever since i've came back, if i were to calculate my expenses minus my phone calls.. hehehe. i've only spend... rm200 i think on food. well of course i didn't go out during weekends. not to say that i've been lazy, but sometime u know if ur a ps2 gamer and when ur addicted to the game... so maybe that's why i've manage to use so little this month. well i'm not saying that i've went on diet and stuff or been eating maggi. nopes... i've been eating proper food. it's just a matter if ur adventurous enough to go round looking for food. and learning to adapt to certain food style. but i don't always ta pau 1(pack) i aso cook at home... nope.. not as in cook eggs or fry rice. i'm talking here about like stew pork(hehehe)/chicken, gulai, curry, and etc.. ya know... but no western food. somehow i don't fancy cooking western food.

so at the end, like i said depending on your lifestyle, and he said he won't be coming.... rather work in UK. OH JEEZZ why not UK as the first choice and Dubai the second???? some people...

Dengue

NIGHTMARE

HI PEOPLE!!!

Well it's been let me c... more than a month since i last updated the blog. Well a lot of things recently happen to me and i did not have the mood nor time to blog. i don't know how to say it... to say suey(bad luck) also hard, want to say lucky also hard... still having a hard time knowing it. but it is all thanks to 1 mosquito. dengue mosquito. it all happen when i arrived home, dad was sick and mum was ok ok... dad was down with fever. well all of us thought it was a normal fever. then it continued till the eve of Chinese new year. Which is where the nightmare starts... took him to the clinic, and suspected dengue and went straight to the hospital that night itself.
Then came back home about 4am in the morning. Next day took mum to check as she was having fever also... and yeah she was pretty much confirm needed to go to the hospital. But the hospital didn’t want to admit her. And delayed her for another day. Next morning brought her again to the hospital and she was admitted in the evening. Well thought of staying the night, but was really tired as been running up and down without rest. But going back home also I couldn’t really sleep as both my parents are in the hospital. Going back next day, talking to her and assuming she’s alright, left for home to get her pillow so that she’ll be comfortable. But upon returning… nightmare occur…

At 4pm the doctors finally wanted to do a blood transfusion, but during the process, my mum got a heart attack. And after recovering from the heart attack, her blood pressure was low where the blood is not moving through her whole body. At that moment they immediately put her into ICU. After trying to stabilize her which they fail to do so, she was under monitoring. And we were told within 24 hours they will know the result. So after a day in the ICU, only rested awhile. We’re still waiting. The following night it was the night… we thought she could have survived it. But after looking at mum, knowing all her organ’s have already failed, started with the kidney, followed by liver and lungs. I knew if she were to survive this, her life will not be the same. And somehow something told me to tell her “if you were to see GOD, go… don’t hesitate”.2 hours later her blood pressure drop and kept on dropping. My family members came and was with her during the last hour. We were there with her all the way as a family. And the doctor pronounce it. So yeah, I had a long time of sad moments…. And I wouldn’t have make it through without my friends and relatives support.

Now I’m back in Dubai. Still remembering these things… well 1 thing I cannot not ever forget is my mum’s funeral. It was somehow, I felt so grand… why??? There was a last minute choir that came and sang beautifully that day and touch many hearts. Not only that, it’s the first time I’ve seen so many priest together for a funeral mass… I was shocked and touched at the same time. 9 priest and 1 bishop. Sigh… and the church hall was ¾ full… it was such a day.

I would like to thank my friends so much… for supporting me and the sms and calls that were made. It help a lot, as it was such a emotional period for me. I am ok now… not feeling so emotional as I did before. It’s back to life to me, but it won’t be same…somehow… hopefully I’ll start blogging back to normal again soon.

The Creek during Dubai Shopping Festival

i took a lot of shots here and decided to post a few...
the creek was so bloody happening... with so many humans... i also decided to join join lar

Hari Raya...

well this is was during the first day of raya here in dubai... my first raya away from Malaysia. being a muslim country, they don't really celebrate raya here. weird. they prefer to celebrate raya haji. tat time we will get like 3 days holiday?

well at least i did manage to eat some malay food for raya even being far away from home...
so what happen? we did a pot luck at 1 house. the event started at about 12pm... and whoa... the whoever who has not gone back to malaysia, is here...

as above, nasi minyak, don't ask me why spagetti was there....
this was the whole dish on the table, yups we even had tarts... hehehe

laksa johor and nasi impit was also there.... i was like whoa... syok mannn... hahahah

and there i am... trying out everything that i can get hold of... hahaha

and this is like my sister over here, christina, the only ah lian i can talk hokkien too.. hahahah

Desert Safari

Last weekend... i decided to go for a desert safari tour... in the begining... i thought it would be a killer if i were to head there during the summer and die of the scourging heat. die lerr... die of thirst and heat... so... what's the next best option? go when it's not hot lar... so decided to go...
at first it was a nice weather when me and my housemates headed down... it was about 24C where i would say.. beautiful weather... :)

then later we headed into the 4wd... V8 man... at first i was thinking why such a powerful car in the desert... then i realise... these drivers are mad buggers... why?? they drift in the desert 1!!! and really siao type of drift!!! driving in the desert is seriously no joke. the roads are really uneven, hahaha.. why not.. stupid.. bodoh.. bangkai, mangkuk hayun. and arrgghhh.. me and my colleague... can say we learn our lessons while sitting in a car going thru the desert...
WEAR UR SEATBELT!!! why? if u don't... ur whole body will be jumping around the car!! it's no joke... i mean i tried to take pictures while in the car also susah... hmm... will upload a video in the car soon. not this time...
then when we had a stop, where there were cars that were stuck in the sand.. there was a joker who actually went for a pee in the bushes!!! well being nice... i decided to post his picture... without his wee wee stuck out... hahaha.
then we came to a camel farm... well camel...s... from my point of view... it's like singaporeans never see cow before in malaysia.. err.. sorry ah.. but it's true lar... where singaporeans come to malaysia on the road side will be shouting , COW.. COW!!!!! pure jakun.. well in this case... everybody here also was being a jakun... never see camel before also... including me. :P
seriously i have no idea what i was thinking sticking my tounge out like tat... don't ask!!! then it started drizzling... when we arrived the camp where we were to have our BBQ arab food and some belly dancing show... here's the arena where the belly dancer dance... which i will later post. forgot to upload the other memory card.

then they have this shop that sells arab items which was way overprice. well for tourist that will be here for a short time... they will buy lar.. unlike me... can forget about it.. got other places that sells it cheaper... but weird lerr.... some of the things.. i got a shock when i saw this voodoo items. well actually it reminded me of a video i saw last time where it was a voodoo curse for mr bush, where he was been curse as the voodoo doll and got his ass screwd... hahaha
well lastly there is a shee sha area... so lantak lar.. go whack some shee sha... hahahha

well if Malaysia banjir... it's not a really big deal.. why? every body knows that even if Malaysia have like the best drainage system in the world, sooner or later sure stuck and full of rubbish 1. no body want to take care... of course lar... not only drain wert... building also same thing...
but here... in the dessert... where rain is rare... the local municiple couldn't bother to do any drainage system. of course kenot really blame them. coz last year not even a single rain drop and the year before that it was like 3 days of rain only. but this year... it was something that was really unexpected by many people... for the past week it was raining cats and dogs and yesterday... there was no SUN!!!... well for me it's a lazy day....
so.. since it was raining the whole day again.. i decided to buy the papers and try to see if the accidents stats were there... but sad to see... nothing... was hoping something to hit the 328 mark. hehehe anyways...so here also banjir.... BANJIRRRRR... not where i was staying... but nice to c lar here also banjir.. hahahah like Malaysia like tat.... but worst..!!! wait...
so i was reading the Gulf Paper today and saw the flood...

well it really looks like malaysia. but i guess Malaysia ain't that bad where i've never read any banjir articles yet in the papers.... but then i notice this column....

well Ibn Battuta is quite a big shopping comples and it's really nice. where they have like 5 different section with unique concepts of china, india, arabs, persians and something else...which i kenot remember.

but just imagine... a place like KLCC or Mid valley... have water leakage... hahaha.. i really wish there were pictures to show these leakage. i've heard that they used 'baldi' to store the leakage water... hahaha.. sound like rumah kampung in malaysia only.. hahahhahaa

Just walking around.(part 1)

the next day after i got my camera, i decided to go walking around. so during lunch time i went for a quick walk around the office area. and i did a few random shots....
Just for fun i decide to take picture of the mosque lar...
then after more walking i reached the clock tower...
it's actually a round about with the clock lar... so now u know how to read arabic numbers... as u can c... i wonder how to set my keyboard to arabic... like i know how to read like tat... hantam only larr....

this is the best shot i think i have. why???? well u know the world is searching for Mr.Osama Bin Laden rite? i've got a feeling somehow... he might have just dropped by dubai a couple of times... why? he's family also got building here...

the building look so simple and many fail to notice it is a bin laden building. i really wonder if the CIA are actually monitoring this place... hmmmm....

Accidents...

Well what i guess is true... why? it come out in todays paper. just because of the rain that happen yesterday, 328 road accidents happen in dubai only. siao 1 i tell u the people here. including my driver.yesterday when coming back home when the road was wet, he still want to do his stunts like when the road is dry... and we had to scream at him in order for him to actually drive like a decent driver. like i said earlier, the people here just slams the break and hope the car stops and later accelerate. if bring these people to malaysia to drive... walau... the amount of accidents that were to happen will be more than usual. well i wasn't lucky enough to witness any accidents yesterday outside my office... but at least i get some report here.. hahaha... bloody dubai drivers... crazy as ever. i really wonder where can they go by driving like tat? to heaven or hell earlier? or meet Mr.G or Mr I setan? i mean isetan go to the shopping complex only lar...

It Rain AGAIN!!!!

and i didn't bring my camera out.. but this time the rain was heavier...
oh well... :) according to the locals, it seems that this time it will be colder from usual as the rain started so early. it was supposedly to start in mid december. my only worry is because i haven't got any clothes for below 20C yet... and i hope the weather can hold on till the sale starts. and that would be great.hehehhe but cialat.. now also hit 20C liao with the rain... cialat...
c lar.. if can tahan... call me mean... but i'm hoping tomorrow the news will report something like 500 accidents caused by the rain. hehehhee... well i'll hope and if it does, then i'll post it... :P

but this time i'll be talking more about what i've got recently. hehehe i've went to a dubai GiTex... what is it, it's like Malaysians version of "PC-FAIR", but not as big as PC fair but have more items. here they sell camera, dvd players, tv and etc... more of like an electrical fair lar...
me.. hoping tat i buy something and after that i can fly.... come on lar... buy & fly? well it only works on air tickets... where u can buy then u'll fly lar... but buying a phone then the phone can make u fly??? urghhh watever...apa apa larrr....

oh... not forgetting my fello white white ppl... :P this is really white people lar.. i mean look at the pic. i mean.. there are only a few non-white people in the picture... cia lat lar...
finally i got hold of my camera... NIKON S10. :) i've been waiting for this camera to come to dubai since august... took them really long to bring it over.wokay lar the fair... but the bad thing... which i do not really really really understand is... we have to pay AED15 for the entrance fee. sigh... malaysia still the best.. F.O.C hehehe

Rain Rain come again...

It's been 4 months already that i've been here in dubai and i've never seen rain for such a time... and then suddenly i heard raindropsss.... IT RAIN... just drizzle... but still its water pouring from the sky...
ah pek became siao(crazy) ran out like a mad man and took pictures in the rain... yups... well at least i'm not the only 1. another malaysian colleague also sama kaki 1.

it's raining guyz in dubai... note, look behind me, where the floor is wet. :)
here my colleague is showing proof there is rain... another proof of rain... hehehe look at the plank located on the low left side. see the difference in colours? well this cha boh... so happy that it rain... well ahpek also happy lar... it felt nice... but it was just for a short while.. the rain lasted for 1 minute.
back in Malaysia, at times we get so sick of the rain. the moment we see rain, we know it'll be jam coz places will be flooded. ahhh not forgetting the locals, well apparently whenever it rains, the accident rate increases up to 500% from normal rate. why? well if you come here to dubai, u can always, i mean always and without fail to hear tyre sccreechingggggggg.....
dont know why but they like to accelerate and do an emergency brake...
oh well..

Ah pek just shifted house about 1 month ago, and finally leh, lin peh settle down loh,

currenty d place i'm staying is located at karama loh...

u all must be thinking lin peh sleeping which bed right? no lar.. lin peh like to sleep small small bed wan. no need big big bed ler...not like i bringing my wife over or something like tat. if tat happen lin peh must have own room leh... but now lin peh also like sleeping alone at home. why? coz my ahpek housemate work at nite wan... not tat kind of job leh.. he work night shift ler at site...

Barbie Revisit!!!

Remember the last time I told you about Barbie R Us? Yeah.. well so happen I revisited the shop a few days back… and this time I wasn’t alone… so I decide that I should really grab some of the balls on floor and take the picture… hahaha YES… with Barbie.. and I really did it…

Here I am sitting here in Starbucks again on my new “Thursday Night routine”

Hahaha… well it’s the weekend night and since I do not have any plans… this is what I’ll do… Blog… J

Well over the past week, I’ve been to Jumeira Area again and I’ve manage to re-visit Burj Al Arab again… and from this week, I’ve found out that Al means the. And this time around I’ve manage to get better shots… Really the new camera that I’m targeting is still not release yet here in Dubai. Anyways, had another visitor from Malaysia, which brings me to The Arab Tower, and it looks more beautiful this time… don’t know why, but yeah…

It was all good… also here is a picture of Burj Dubai. Well it ain’t completed yet.. but this will be the comparison when it is complete… which nobody knows when… and how high it is also…. Well apparently… being built in the first place, it was supposed to be the tallest in the world… so that’s why nobody knows the real height of the building…. If some japo or ah pek decides to build a taller building than that, then they will go higher. The building is been design so that it could go up higher at the later stages… well.. if every year some joker decides to maker a higher building… I’m guessing the burj dubai wouldn’t finish at all… geezz… people and their dreams…

Oh well.. hahaha

Later that night, manage to have steamboat dinner with friends… dang.. didn’t know that there was steamboat available here in DUBAI!!! Happiness I tell u… hahahah and the amount of food tat came was like WHOA!!!!

I mean… in this picture… it’s like… only half of the food shown… the first quarter was finished already and there is another quarter waiting to be put on the table!!! And there were only 8 of us on the table… it could have actually serve 20 PEOPLE!!!! Gosh. That night I was really FULL!!! There were Crabs, prawns, fish, chicken, meat, veg, fishballs, meatballs, squids, and many more lar… walau… kau lat makan… well I noticed it also.. I mean.. I’ve been blogging a lot of food here also… and I think I gain weight!!! Well I think what Angela told me earlier is kinda true lar… well currently is only half correct. So if I do actually lose weight when I’m back in Malaysia… then it’s really true lar..hahaha…

So I better start working out…. Or sweat!!!...

Food again!!!

well ramadan is going to be over soon... and i was thinking about the lunch i had before Ramadan. it made me hungry again.... i mean to me it just looks awesome... where i can eat it in Malaysia also...but... damn shiok man.... well i'm talking about Nasi Briyani... well it doesn't look different to me... it taste's better and a larger portion.... i mean... look at the picture.. it's a mountain of rice there!!!!... u know how in malaysia we eat hokkien mee the Rm5 plate? That's the size... i mean.. look at the chicken... half chicken some more!!! uhuh... and it cost only... rm11... damn tai man!!! first time eating something that is worth eating over here!!!! hahahaha.... and of course i finished the plate... and clean!!!... but tak boleh jalan lar... after that... too kenyang liao... then i must go rub rub my stomach also... coz damn nice and pau(full) but kennot open my shirt and rub lerr... hahahahhaha

if this Burj Al Arab is Tower of the arabs... what is Burj Dubai then???

Manage to get a few shots.. in a cab... which i didn't stop...
but from what i was told that... if u just want to into the hotel... u need to pay like RM200??? siao... RM200 i can eat alot of things....

ohoh... really my mouth just fell the floor when i found out from my friend who went over to have dinner at a restaurant up there....
she and her husband went there for a dinner and it cost them.... RM1000!!! 2 person eat... 1 eat sea brass cost - RM350.... another steak - Rm400... and the wine... CIA LAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SIOAAA!!

another luxury hotel and it's beside burj al arab.... looks ok oklar... for those rich enuff...but not rich enuff to afford to go to Burj Al Arab.. this is ur second best choice lar... hahhaha Jumeira Hotel...
This place also d same friend went over for fine dining... cost leh... also nearly the same... RM900... but nicer food. also wine and steaks.... only slightly cheaper... walauweh... lucky i don't have a girlfriend yet... coz if i do... sure i bring 1... hahahahha

and just before i left, a sunset view at the beach beside Burj al Arab(jumeira beach) using my PDA camera, and in d car MOVING!!... was pretty happy with what i got... hahha..

Burjuman

Today i feel so hype... why? well i think somehow things suddenly change...
previously i mention that i might be going somewhere...
well i "was" suppose to go down to euro - prague, vienna, salzburg, and berlin for a backpack trip... for 2 weeks... and it all went down the drain. why? becoz of some policy... crap...
Well here's the story...

Firstly i applied my annual leave.... from my company which shouldn't be a problem... where i'm a confirm staff already. and so i did... i manage to get 10day annual leave and which was approved.
1 week later, after i got my approval, i bought my tickets to europe. :)
then.... sigh...
then came a news... that there is a policy which is supposedly to be in the UAE law about annual leave. where if we were to take leave from certain dates, where it includes friday... it will be counted as leave also... eg...
if i were to start my annual leave on a thusday till monday... where friday is a normal day off...
so i'll only use
1- thursday
2- saturday
3- sunday
4- monday

so a total of 4 days...
but with these new implementation,

it will be
1- thursday
2-friday
3-saturday
4-sunday
5-monday

so a total of 5 dayS!!!!
crap!!!!
nm... still semangat to go...

then came news...
apparently any new staff in a company cannot take any annual leave during the first 6 months of employment. i was like WAT!!!!

and my annual leave was reviewed and i'm not qualified to take my leave... MCH!!!!
ok why am i so pissed off.. for the simplest reason... not becoz i was so hype about going to europe... but I GOT THE BLOODY TICKET ALREADY!!!
oh well.. will be writing a appeal letter to the company about the mistake they have done in which have cost me...

we'll see how things go from there...

Toys R Us.....

Last week i had a short trip to Toys or Us....

'When i come to think of it it is more like when u enter the shop, it was like more of u looking at the toys... or just us humans... hahaha lame....

But anyways... yeah... want to see what the difference in toys product... well for those 'who knows me well.. they would know that i have a collection of toys... the toys that i have are Lord of the Rings and Transformers... collections... :)

i like Barbie dolls too.. but never really collect them... siao ah... hehehe
buh.. oh my gosh....
i got a shock when i entered the toys r us here.... for all the doll and barbie fans.... this is like heaven for them... really... i was so amazed...and decided to take shots for it...

well this is my first time looking at items like tat... gosh.. theý're even selling BARBIE CLOTHES!!!!! and a whole ROW OF THEM!!!!! walauweh.. nm... that's just the first row...

now this is the second row... walauweh... so many barbie products 1 ah....

One of my company's project which is 99% done...

so i had the chance to go 1 of the project which is being done by my company. A luxurious home for the owener/client that gave us alot of project here in Dubai. Well... its a hugh house out of nowhere... and supposedly the rich area. Why they call it a rich area... becoz it the area in UAE that has greens.... so if u have more greens in our area... then the richer u are...
if like tat.. my grandma's house in kuala terengganu damn rich liao??hahah

this is the view of the house there... huge it is... and to me... it doesn't look tat wealthy... haha but it is... the house is made of african wood. and tat bloody wood ain't cheap. well the next thing inline is the land side... the bigger ur area... the richer u r... wah.. back in d old days... in malaysia... everybody would be so rich??? also the more camels u have... also rich lar.. u know like in malaysia.. u got more kerbau and lembu... the richer u ar... like that.. the kampung ppl damn rich?? ahhaha

YO CAMEL!!! say CHEESEE!!!! (but i was pretty scared if suddenly the camel came after me... ) hahaha

ohh.. u really got to check this part... The house below, is also in the area... but it belongs.... it belongs to the maid/caretaker of the house.... imagine.. a fully furnish house, with car etc for you!!!! just to be a maid!!!! MCB!!! ahhaha

well... other than so many things are happening to me.. and i have no time to blog...
i realize something... today... somehow... it made me blog... today.. now...

i just realize how much i miss him...
and somehow... so many things have made me demoralize not to blog...

for a 2 year old kid... he can accompany me to play playstation... especially playing his ultramans... and somehow i've spend alot of time with him... when i come back home... he'll be running over and shouting... UNCLE roland!!!!!! gosh... now it reminded me also of that movie RV i watched the other day... d kid was such a beauty when she a kid... and grew up a mischief...
well hope tat doesn't happen to Ethan...

Never thought i would come over to Dubai and miss 3 years of his life... i hope... in future i won't have to miss it again...

It's been awhile...

quite long lar.. actually...
wat to do fasting time...
everything here is suddenly so slow... everything is not moving...
so i try my best lar... not to fall into the pit.

other than that...
well finally i've settle down...and it feels like home... well you guys may be wondering... why it took me so long to actually move and settle down...
well firstly... as i recall we received a memo indicating that i will move to karama(town area) the next day. but in which it fail to do so... where it was postponed...
it was a thursday then. then it was postponed to a Saturday...
and on saturday we were told it will be postponed to Monday...
then when monday came... it was postponed again to Wednesday...
then wednesday came... it was postPONED again to Friday... in which i was fed up with the postponing...
i decided to move myself...
so took the cab... moved... and i was happy... until i arrive the house...
eww... nobody took care of the house. it was so MEASSY N DIRTY!!!
but according to my housemate... it was worst!!!
can u imagine the walls having fungus growing... EWWWwww

wat to do.. have to stay first lar...
well then a good news and a bad news came...
well manage to know a kaki who's staying at the same place... but they're moving out...:(
which is a good thing... coz we can move into their house... which is a bigger place...
oh.. forgot to mention, the house is a studio apartment.

so yeah... manage to sort things out in the kitchen so that i can cook... yes.. i cook ler...
no i do not only cook fry eggs and maggi mee

Moving...

1. i went to Oman to get my visa done
2. Sudden Memo from HR have to move house but have been delaying. so life is a bit messy.

Singapore Before i came to Dubai

I was so glad i received this pictures from 217... :)
it made me smile in front of the computer like a mad man...

Blurry Sick

lucky me... well to those whom i might have spoken to me yesterday would have known how blur i was towards the evening..
without realising my brain was half dead, talking crap... trying to make some sense into my head...to keep me sensible...

I was really talking crap... i didn't know what i was talking about... just talk rubbish.. with no head and tail about anything... i mean most of the time i do that hehehe but... this is really bad lar..
if i remember correctly the only thing i think i remember from yesterdays blurness was something about being cute n funny in a way...
don't know why...
so... thankz to a future doc advice... i realise my body was weak... and how bacteria's can easily attack me at this time.. suddenly i feel cold, then started sneezzing... dang... i'm really going to be sickk...
the moment i enter d car.... i actually crashed out till my friend woke me up when we arrived home...

When i first arrived Dubai the weather is 52Max and it doesn't go down to 40C. That was when i arrived...
Now the temperature has dropped... but still a Max of 38 just like Malaysia...
so...
U all THINK i SIAO AH????
go to places without air con or covered roof???
like going to the Desert???? at that temperature????
HELL NO!!!
going to other places than Shopping area which have air con???
HELL NO
so... do understand why i have not posted anything
on toursist area yet... summer is not a good time for tourist to come to dubai...
only for toursist to try out the heat of 52C which burns your skin or

Diving....

Well thought of going for diving lessons... why? so tat i don't waste my trip to any of the islands just snorkeling and chilling out on the beach...
Didn't know much about diving and i've heard ppl going for a short course... but apparently... alot of ppl died becoz of the short courses...

Missing Malaysian Food...

Since i started this blog, i have kwai lou friends who had difficulties understanding my ahpek english/singlish... so this post is for all my friends tat doesn't know ahpek english or also known as singlish

Discourse particles

Particles in Singlish are highly comparable to Chinese. In general, discourse particles occur at the end of a sentence. Their presence changes the meaning or the tone of the sentence, but not its grammaticality.

Lah

The ubiquitous word lah (/lɑ́/ or /lɑ̂/) is used at the end of a sentence. Lim (2004) describes it as a particle that simultaneously asserts a position and entices solidarity.

Similarly, 'lah' is frequently used with imperatives in Singlish:

Drink, lah! (Come on, drink!)

'Lah' also occurs frequently with "Yah" and "No" (hence "Yah lah" and "No lah"). The results sound less brusque and facilitate the flow of conversation.

Lah is often used with brusque, short, negative responses:

Dun have, lah! (Brusque response to, "Lend me some money, can?")

Lah is also used for reassurance:

Crap, cia lat* recently... why? because it is a site project, work must go on... to keep on the schedule... rubbish lar.. public holiday also kena taken away. then after tat say wat... the holiday will be replaced. after that again, supposed to be the replacement, they give u choice again. Choice for wat? to WORK!!!
then they'll give u an ANNUAL LEAVE!!! yeah rite... kinda hard to trust if the memo was not circulated to the HQ only internal only. SO... tomorrow i still have to go back to WORK!!!

By the way, i work from saturday till thursday. friday is the only day off. friday is like sunday for the rest of the world. anyways... so tomorrow being a thursday and i'll BE WORKING!!! i'll be taking "leave" on saturday. hmph... don't care liao... long forsaken leave.

FASHION TV

You know the fashion TV on the TV??? yeah... usually this fashion show, u always get to see *sui CHA BOH and in their designer's clothes. where some of them nice and some ugly lar... i mean u can c, where there are clothes, little cloth around them, pants, skirt, thongs, etc... u know wat i mean lar...
i had my fair share of view during malaysia's fashion design week where i've seen weird stuff like clothes from rubbish bag and stuff... but nothing!!! i said nothing can beat this fashion tat i've seen...
was walking back from church the other day, the decided to walk inside burjuman again... yes... burjuman. which so happends to be near my colleagues place where i crash the nite there. Then suddenly there was a fashion show going on... wah... sure got leng lui to c one loh... so i go loh... i tell u... u tell me lar... can u really actually think it really matters what they wear ah???? after seeing the third model, i acutally gave up and walk off... all that i can see is the face... look at the pictures... u see what i mean... design statement??err... what kind of design statement is it???? jeeezzzzz

Well yeah... it' like counting forever to get my first salary over. suddenly when i think about my salary, time becomes so slow... when earlier u have like 1 thousand things in your head to do, then suddenly you just focus on 1.
ah pek oh ah pek,
being an ah pek have to be damn bloody stingy pot, so i survey everywhere with the same laptop, and where i can get it the cheapest. well so far based on my survey, 3925 is the cheapest...but... but.. the cab ride to reach the location is going to cost me RM50 1 way. so it will come to about rm 100 to go and obtained the laptop, and go back home with the price of 3925.
where other place is concern, it will cost me rm3999. and i will get an english , pure english keyboard and cab ride is only rm10? yeah.... hahahha forgot to mention earlier, the bloody 3925 got arabic words on the keyboard man... like hell no i'm going to use it...
ah pek using arabic words....
the only word i know now is like habibi...habibi...

Emirates Mall

back to shopping.... :) hahhaa... nolar more like window shopping again... well this time.. i went to emirates mall lar... the so called 1 of the largest mall in d world with indoor ski park. got chance to go... go lar... hehehehe
walau... this place ah.. siao one leh... parking like damn alot...but still kennot find parking 1... n they use this cool techno logi....
like this 1... it shows there is only 1more parking in this lane... so if u sofa king lucky... u get lar...
if not... i was expecting to see some porn ler... cox they put XXX.... how i know...
like they cannot put 0?? or.. boh liao or finish liao... this alab lang.... i tell u...
but then i go also lar... thought can find mah.. then found parking lar..somewhere else...

Go Kia kia....lepak

I really wish i have a laptop right now.... sigh... sadly to say... have to wait lar... hopefully by end of this month i'll get it. :)
why? so that i can blog at home also lar... now i'm blogging during lunch time... :)
my job here is from 7.30am till 6pm. no no... not working extra hours but in between, our lunch starts from 12-3pm. :P but still can't beat the time in my previous job... always mengular...

Friday is the only day i can go out... which is my only day off... poor me... but don't care lar... the more i work, the less money i spend..hehehe... why? if i go out, taxi lar, makan lar...min =RM50 =50AED
i tell u...food here is expensive lar...compare to malaysia... cialat.... will do a blog on food next time. :)
so Friday, what did i do...hmmm... i go church first lar... kuai kuai go church, then only go kia kia... so went over to this shopping complex called "Burjuman"
Weired name.... for a shopping complex... seriously... but when i think back again... it's the same as mid-valley... makes no sense... it's the name of the place. hmph

1. mid-valley is the largest in asia
2. burjuman -not the largest in dubai but it has the same size as mid valley.

with the cinema facilities... which i m pretty familiar or rather i know the place well lar...

damn cialat ok window shopping. first walk past Zara then suddenly(70% SALE) the stupid 4 letter words.... damn hard to resist lar... all the coats are about RM300-600. Then the t-shirts damn cheap lerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rm50-60 ONLY!!!! well i didn't bother checking the girls section... but walau...

after tat liz ask me to check out DKNY... so the first DKNY shop i saw i masuk lar... tengok tengok sebodohnya an ah pek is... i masuk Donna Karen New York.!!! i bodoh bodoh go ask the sales ca boh somemore(damn cun) where are the jeans??? i bet she's thinking(u born stupid or wat?)

but nice enuff to tell me there is DKNY Jeans.... which is downstairs...(DAMN PAI SEH MAN!!!!)
all because why??? that cha boh lar... liza!!! :P
but both shops also DKNY wert.... only 1 got jeans and the other got no jeans.... ish..ish..ish... dunno lar...

then tummy calling liao... dunno wat to eat... so i go to the food courts lar.

so when i reach the food court, i was suprise to see MerryBrown... here!!! and it's doing quite well here... walau...not bad man... n always got customer...1. next thing i c was in arabic... looks familiar, then i went to the side and saw CHILLI TOO ??? huh??izint it suppose to be chilli's????
no budget to eat those food yet... will do 1 day and comment on it

so i decided not to eat lar... go back to where i stay and eat cheaper... rm10 only the nasi briyani. where i c the prices here start from rm25> cannot... so on my way out... saw this so called restaurent called CHOW KING.

but at first glance ... i thought it was CHOW KONG??!!!!
those who don't know what is Chow kong = e.g zippers not zipped up, girls who wear short skirts and spread wide open their legs so that air can go in) ok enuff... i think i went in to much details.. hehehe so yeah... from chow king i saw chow kong... walau... here also got restaurent like tat one ah???? hehehe

so that kinda ended my journey tat day... and it cost me Rm40 to go back home using cab. damn expensive.... the other "sofa king" thing here is that the taxi charges based on distance AND!!!! time. the traffic here is "sofa king" jam, so... ur meter just keeps on shooting up.... !!!!!!

SandSTORM

yup... just came here and i manage to experience sandstorm...hehehe sounds scarry lar... but ok ler... i think... have some pictures i took...
well being an ah pek at first i thought it was haze... i was thinking... how the hell this place got haze one???? from Indonesia also can reach ah??? siaoleh...
but after consulting with my housemate... it's a sand storm ler...
so... being curious.. i went outside lar... big big mistake ler... sand everywhere...
even in my mouth.... cia lat.... have to go and take shower and brush teeth after tat....

the weather here is generally ok lar... the heat... is somehow a killer... even at nite...
i always lepak at the 11th floor balcony. a small view of the road downstairs... its just a normal road...and it's 3 lane!!! siao ppl... can't even safely cross the road...

at the balcony also got some weird word on the wall... dunno what it is... well if got kawan frm malaysia who can help me transalate... tqtq..ah

First Day in Dubai...
upon arriving at the airport.... dang...
all the pau tau... .damn alot... sorry lar.. too busy looking at them until forget to take pic ler... why ler... err.. sui loh
ah moh kui leh... got lar... well at least they don't sore my eye...
this is me ler... just arrived airport while waiting for my pickup...
then they ask me to wait infront of this huge pole(padahal only 2 storey only) and i spend half and hour looking for a huge pole.... (it's either i'm stupid or just some ppl don't know how to give ppl a better picture. like the word "arrival" on the building?)
well at least they manage to find me... if not all the taxi fella come after me.. taxi? taxi?? cheap taxi... so i manage to reach my apt leh... at first i thought i'm in a 4star hotel leh...
look at the bloody entrance... siao leh...

i was like wow... am i in the correct place ah? or some kind of sick joke for new worker first time in dubai? apprently not loh...

check out the lift... life also got pattern 1... islam pattern some more... so much money to spend just on a apartment...

as i entered more canggih leh... my bloody hallway all got sensor 1. move only light turn on. u stay still no light. jakun...

anyways it's pretty late for my first post... cause finally my company gave me my pc and got internet connection... hehehe will be getting a camera later this month.. then more better quality pictures... :) btw this is taken from my hp only...
